I fell in love with the game at the age of 10,
and have been in love with it ever since. It quickly became the
focus of almost every waking moment. My Dad used to drive me by my
town's High School on the way to AAU practice, and long before I
ever entered it's halls, my goal was to be the greatest basketball
player that school had ever seen.
A few years later, I did just that when I claimed the title of all
time leading scorer
with 1,399 points; a record that had previously been held for more
than 20 years.
Despite numerous offers from schools around the country, most
notably the University of Illinois, I decided to take my skills to
the College of William and
Mary, where I hoped to improve my performance on the court while
receiving a top notch education.
While I had a solid career and was lucky to not have been plagued by
any injuries, there was a lot that I wish had happened differently.
My goal has always been to aim high, and walking across my college
court on Senior Night, I knew that I still had a lot left in me.
I have an undeniable passion for this game that doesn't go unnoticed
by anyone that sees me play. I'm nowhere near being ready to throw
in the towel and put away my sneakers!
I am hoping to take my skills overseas and continue challenging
myself as both an individual and a player.
