13stls I fell in love with the game at the age
of 13, and have not been able to steer away from it. Basketball
became something I eat, slept, and breathe. Be it rain, sleet,
or snow I was either outside or in a gym working to perfect the
game I love. I wanted to become the first female in the NBA and
jokingly saying it but I want to at least try. While assisting
my high school to only one game away from state (the farthest
they had been in a decade)I lead the state in REBOUNDS PER GAME
with 20. Despite numerous offers from schools
around the country, most notably the University of Texas El
Paso, I decided to take my skills to the Northwestern State
University, where I hoped to improve my performance on the court
while receiving a top notch education.
While I had a solid career after giving
birth to my darling son, there was a lot that I wish had
happened differently. My goal has always been to aim high, and
walking across my college court on Senior Night, I knew that I
still had a lot left in me.
I have an undeniable passion for this
game that doesn't go unnoticed by anyone that sees me play.
Every individual that has ever coached me says that my heart and
love for the game can easily fill any stadium! I'm nowhere near
being ready to throw in the towel and put away my sneakers!
I am hoping to take my skills overseas
and continue challenging myself as both an individual and a
player.
