Letter of reccomendation:

Joey is one of the toughest competitors I have coached in 30 years of college athletics. I have coached at Notre Dame and New Mexico St. in the
8o's and then the head coach at Georgetown for 18 yrs. before coming to
Penn in 2004. I have seen many an All American and have coached 14 players who have gone on play in Europe over this stretch and one WNBA first round draft pick ( becky Brunson-Sacramento ).....Joey's heart and guile equal any of them. Her smarts surpasses most. She is intelligent and knows the game. She is loyal to her teammates and to her coaches and she works at her game throughout the entire season. I have no doubt that she will continue to work on improvement at this next level.

As I have spoken to many agents over the years and placed many players , as I have mentioned, I feel that coaches at the next level want some specific things. You want a quality person and a player who will practice hard and not cheat you with effort. Joey can be counted on to do this for you and the team.

You want a player who has a specific skill that can help you. Joey can shoot the three and take it to the basket. She has been my leading scorer for two straight years. She can play the one or the 2 G. She can defend
well: ball containment, help defense and has the knack for the big steal.

You want a teammate who will sacrifice for the team's goals, whatever the new coach decides...Joey will fit in and mix in very easily or she will take charge with her aggressive play and scoring.

I have nothing but great things to say about Joey Rhoads, who has left the Ivy League and the Big Five with her mark made and with great respect left behind. Call me or email me if any coach or GM has any questions.

Many thanks for considering Joey.
