Another high impact newcomer is Kimarley Williams, an explosive 6-foot-3 swingman out of Porterville (Calif.) College. An alum of South Shore High School in Brooklyn, N.Y., Williams earned All-Central Valley Conference first team recognition this past season after averaging 21.0 points and 6.1 rebounds for Porterville. He registered 5 30-point games during the 2007 campaign, including a career-high effort of 34 points on the strength of 7 3-pointers vs. Merced (Calif.) College. Earlier in that same week of play Williams recorded 29 points, 7 rebounds, 7 steals and 4 blocked shots in leading the Pirates to an upset of the state’s No. 6-ranked West Hills College. Those 2 games were part of a midseason outburst in which Williams averaged 25 points and 6.7 rebounds over a 9-game stretch SCOUTING REPORT SLAMMERS EXPOSURE CAMP 2010 Ballhandling: good ball control, solid ballhandler Offense: quick first step, good outside shot Defense: good lockdown defender plays very hard defense Rebounding: good Strength: creating space for his shot, 1 on 1 drive Weakness: can become more consistant on his 3pt shot, sometimes a little streaky Additional Comment. TOP 5 of the camp, played very well. PRO B caliber if not PRO A |
